Fifth SGI employee accepted to PELA

Another employee from SGI’s Charmian Plant is beginning his leadership journey in the Pennsylvania Aggregates and Concrete Association Emerging Leaders Academy.
Daniel Nash, a Project Engineer III, is the fifth employee from the site to be accepted to the program since its inception in 2021. During the next several months, he will attend classes, tours and events to improve his knowledge about the aggregates industry, connect him with other professionals and enhance his leadership capabilities. He also will complete a Cornerstone Project prior to graduation in November.
“SGI is committed to equipping our team members with the knowledge and training they need to succeed now and in the future so that they can one day lead this company,” said President Justin P. Dunlap. “We are proud to have another employee poised for growth by participating in PELA.”
PELA students are nominated by a supervisor or mentor and also complete a formal application process. The PELA Board of Trustees reviews applications at the beginning of each year to determine the class roster. Each class is limited to 20 participants.
